It's Time to complete the ACP (Annual Church Profile)

Here are five reasons to complete an ACP!

  • Family – You are an important part of the Southern Baptist family! This small task benefits the entire SBC and its mission of reaching the world with the Gospel.
  • History – Historical statistics about your congregation are maintained for you if/when needed.
  • Resources – SBC agencies use ACP information to allocate funding and other resources to CSBC to benefit California churches.
  • Representation – The SBC determines representation on national boards based on ACP information. Also, the number of messengers eligible from your church to attend state and national conventions is determined using ACP statistics.
  • Communication – Information provided through the ACP survey enables your association and state convention to better communicate with and serve the needs of your congregation.

MINISTRY IDEAS

WHAT IS INSIDE THE TRAILER

GOAL
Evangelism Events are known for bringing neighborhoods together, creating relationships and providing gospel-centered opportunities for mutual aid when the need arises. Reaching an unbelieving community in a non-threading way, outside the four walls of a church, is an effective way to contact those who do not attend any church. This $300.00 resource accommodates the use of regular ministry services and events that would support our local churches within any irregular guidelines or restrictions regulated toward doing ministry.

Harvest Crusade 2024

The Harvest Crusade is back—in Southern California!
July 20, 2024 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim at 7:00 pm.

This event will feature musical performances by top Christian artists and an incredible opportunity to invite family and friends to hear the gospel message from Pastor Greg Laurie.

You’ll remember that last year we took the event to Honda Center because we were told people would not be allowed to go onto the baseball field to accept Christ (as we’ve always done). In case you’re wondering, that will not be the case this year—and we’re praying to see many down on the field.

Musical Guests and Message
This is coming up fast! We’ll have musical performances from Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, Brooke Ligertwood, and Harvest Worship. And, of course, I will have a special message to share with the crowd.

Your Role
Here’s the thing about the Harvest Crusade: It’s not just a big Christian event for us to have a great time—yes, it’s that, but it’s also more—it’s an event designed to bring nonbelievers to. And there is never a charge to attend these events; the gospel is free to hear.

Christians, this is your opportunity to take action! Share this event! I want you to keep three words in mind: Pray, invite, bring.

Pray for the people you know who are not yet Christians. Pray that God would open their hearts and make them receptive to the gospel the day-of the event and to your invitation to attend. Yes, invite them to go with you! And I want you to bring—not send—them with you. This is important because 80% of those that come forward to make a profession of faith were brought by a friend!

Let’s also ask God to send a mighty spiritual Harvest. The hope for California and our nation is a spiritual awakening.

Human Trafficking Speaker: Meribeny Humstoe

The sex trafficking industry is everywhere

Research shows that in America there are more sex trafficking points of sale than there are Starbucks. The sex traffic industry generates an average of $150 billion a year world-wide, making it one of the top three criminal industries.

The Miqlat Project knows that there is redemption for anyone who is ready and willing to receive it. With over a decade of experience in successfully rescuing the exploited, we have cultivated a proven method of offering hope to women.

Meribeny Humstoe is a speaker for churches interested in joining the fight against human and sex trafficking. She has dedicated 15 years of bringing awareness to our community, our churches and our schools. She would like to serve our churches in any way possible.

Please contact Meribeny at miqlatproject@gmail.com and visit the website for more information.
